Chloe's First Tree

Well I am very excited for Christmas and jumped the gun in putting up our tree. This is the picture of Chloe seeing her first Tree!

Halloween!

Well I haven't been blogging in a while and seeing that Jackie had one reminded me I never posted Halloween pictures. We didn't have Emma this year but she managed to stop by and show us her scary Cheerleader costume. Chloe was a Purdue Cheerleader. She also went to her first Purdue basketball game that night!

Update

Well it has been a while....Chloe is now five months old and I have a new job. I am working at Earhart Elementary (Emma's School) as a Reading intervention teacher. It is not a classroom but its a job and in a school. You have to start somewhere. Chloe is doing great. She went to her first Purdue football game and was such a good girl. Emma is about to lose another tooth and loving second grade. Other then that it has been the same around here...just looking forward to Purdue games and spending time as a family.

Pictures of WD Vacation 2008

Wisconsin Dells

YES Lake Delton is all washed away and will not be rebuilt until next year. We started our mini vacation on Sunday. Our plan was to stop in Gurnee to do a little back to school shopping and eat lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. Well....the blond in me came out and did you know that 90 and 94 split in Chicago and doesnt come back together until Wisconsin. So needless to say we had to go to Gurnee Mills on the way home. Well when we got to our hotel (Kalahari Resort)..which was HUGE and really nice..we checked in and headed of to explore and take a ride on the Ducks. No they are not animals they are old army trucks/boats. This was fun. Both of the girls enjoyed the ride! The next day we headed to the outdoor water park and soaked up a LOT of sun. After going down all of the slides and taking a dip in the pool and the lazy river we decided to get dressed and then head out and do a little mini golf and shop downtown. Before we got to do all of that....we had a little problem. The hotel charged our debit card instead of our charge card...YES huge problem...not only did they charge for the room they charge you additional 400 to make sure you don't charge stuff to the room. BIG PROBLEM. Lets say I was not happy and had to deal with this for two out of the three days we were there. Chloe's first vacation was fun but what vacation is complete without air conditioning. When we finally got home I discovered the air conditioner was BROKE! Above are a few pictures from our Vacation 08

Porter Co Fair

Well I didn't have any fair food the rides wore me out! I thought I could handle the spiny things like I use to. After the fair we went to Red Robin and had dinner. Overall we had a great day at the fair and enjoyed seeing my mom and grandparents. Here are a few pictures...

Wicked

Saturday Sue and I took a bus trip to Chicago to see Wicked. The whole experience and day out was FABULOUS! When we arrived in Chicago before the play the bus dropped us off to do some shopping and eating. Well Sue and I opted to shop over eat....go figure. Our first stop was American Girl Place. Of course the place was packed and once you get in the store there is no control. I think Emma got 3 outfits, a tee shirt, a back pack, and a sleeping bag. Next we were off to the Disney store. Yes I know we had one in Lafayette but still. I bought the girls both a beach towel for vacation and Emma a few tees that were on sale. Our next adventure was to find our Garrett's popcorn. Now if you have ever had Garrett's popcorn you would know how devastating it was that it was CLOSED! So disappointing! After hitting up McDonald for our lunch, because again we like to shop more then spending time to eat, we went to the Hershey store before getting on the bus to be dropped off at the theater. Once we were at the theater we saw another Garrett's popcorn....don't worry when we came out of the play the line was wrapped around the building! :( The play was AMAZING! I had a great time and would love to see it again.

Oh...yes Chloe did get something. Emma was not the only one with gifts. Chloe received a onesie from the Hershey store and Wicked and Jason a HUGE dark chocolate bar!

Busy Summer

Well our summer is getting busy! We just decided to go on a short little family vacation. Looks like Wisconsin Dells will be the getaway spot. We are staying at a resort with a water park...should be fun! Starting with this weekend I have something I need to do until the end of August! WHEW...sounds exhausting. This weekend I am going with my mother-in-law to see Wicked in Chicago. I'm excited. Then the next weekend (I just found out) is the Porter Co. Fair. I haven't been to this in years and really craving fair food! After that comes our mini vaca in Wisconsin. Are you tired yet? The first weekend in August is Hudson's birthday party then we are off for Kings Island. BUSY BUSY BUSY...but we are excited to get to spend time as a family.

The 4th and Chloe @ 3 months

I can't believe that it has been 3 months! She is getting so big so fast! Someone last night at the party asked what time it was and it happened to be the exact time I had her...9:29 p.m. Over all we had a great day. It started off a little shaky with a lil family drama but once the problem was gone we had a really fun day. The party was at our house and of course I cooked way too much food! I think everyone could have had five plates. We ended the night with tons of fireworks not only ours but the neighbors who according to a rumor spent 1,000. I could have found something better to do with a 1,000 dollars then burning it up...but we all had fun. It was a GREAT way to celebrate Independence Day and Chloe's 3 month birthday!

Water Park

Today was Chloe's first experience at the water park! Emma, Hudson, Bella, Stacy, and Grandma Sue Sue all joined us. Chloe was a sleepy girl most of the time but Hudson and Emma spent a lot of the time running from the pool to the big slide to the lazy river. After lunch Chloe and I took a dip in the kiddie pool then jumped in the lazy river. Here are a few pics from our fun filled day!

First Time!

Well this is my first blog EVER. I wanted to do this so people who are not able to see and talk to our family on a regular basis can see what we are up to and keep in touch! First of all Jason is trying to decide on what to do about his job. He has a great offer with SEARS but doesn't mind have the flexibility with Value City Furniture...plus they want to keep him and hopefully offer more money! :) Chloe and I are having fun staying at home. My teaching license and Diploma just came in the mail last week. That was exciting! Not sure yet what I want to do come August. Not sure if I am ready to leave Chloe yet! And little Miss Emma is spending time between her grandmas and our house for the summer. The girl loves to read and form time to time I catch her reading in the bathtub. Well... we are excited to see what our summer brings. Hopefully a trip to Florida!
